As we all know by now, it’s playoff time in Rip City. Today’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder is the Trail Blazers first chance to rise above and get their first win of what is considered to be a dog fight of a series. There are some key things to pay attention to going into today’s game and further as this series plays out. Of course, we all heard about Nurkic’s injury, Nurk does so much for this elite Portland offense. But without him, Portland’s offense has remained strong throughout the remainder of the season. Conversely, the Oklahoma City Thunder have one of, if not the best defense in the league; this is in large part thanks to Paul George who is considered “questionable” for game one according to Trail Blazers beat reporter Casey Holdahl. A day earlier though ESPN writer Royce Young, who covers the Thunder reported George as “day-to-day”. George told Young, “It's playoff time, so it's more than this, it's about being out there with my guys”. It’s safe to expect George to at least attempt to play. Game time is scheduled for 12:30 pacific time.
